White nodding trillium with the flower held below or beside the leaves on a bent pedicel. Wider petals than its sibling *T. cernuum*. Slow-growing; never dig from wild populations. Like other trilliums, young leaves have been used as a cooked green — though picking them can set this slow-growing plant back for years.
