Lilium michiganense
Brilliant nodding orange Turk's-cap flowers with strongly reflexed petals. Wet meadow and prairie lily; the Midwest counterpart to Turk's cap lily. The bulb is a traditional potato-like food, dried and ground into flour when better food wasn't available.
