Humboldt Lily
Lilium humboldtii
Humboldt lily is a statuesque California lily with whorled leaves and nodding orange, maroon-spotted, turk's-cap flowers, lighting up dry woodland edges in summer. The bulb is a traditional potato-like food, dried and ground into flour when better food wasn't available.
