Also known as: Mealy Bellwort
Slender stems appear pierced through the leaves (perfoliate); twisted pale-yellow bell flowers nod beneath. Quieter sister of *U. grandiflora* — smaller flowers, daintier presence. Like its sessile-leaved cousin, young shoots are a good asparagus substitute, and the root has been cooked.
