Encelia farinosa
A silvery, mounding desert shrub that floats yellow daisies on long stalks above its felted leaves each spring. A reliable, fast bloomer that colors roadsides across the Southwest. The aromatic gum that exudes from its stems has traditionally been chewed like gum.
