Carolina spring beauty is a woodland spring ephemeral with pink-veined white flowers over a pair of broad leaves, carpeting rich forest floors before fading by early summer. Like its cousin spring beauty, the small corms and leaves are a traditional foraged nibble with a nutty flavor.
