Elegant Clarkia
Clarkia unguiculata
Elegant clarkia is a tall, slender California annual with whimsical diamond-shaped clawed petals in pink to lavender along wand-like stems, a graceful, drought-tolerant reseeder and good cut flower. The tiny seed has been ground into a powder and eaten, in the same tradition as other native Clarkia seed foods.
