Chamerion latifolium
Dwarf fireweed (river beauty) is a low alpine and arctic perennial of gravelly riverbars, with large rose-pink flowers outsized for the plant. A choice, hardy native for cold rock gardens. Like fireweed, young shoots and leaves are a documented traditional food, especially in northern regions.
