Yellow columbine is a soft-yellow, nodding-flowered columbine of western mountain meadows and forest openings, hardy and charming for cool gardens. The flowers are a safe, sweet nectar nibble; treat other parts with more caution, since the buttercup family includes some mildly toxic species.
